Professional Qualifying Examinations

Students studying for the Professional Qualifying Examinations (PQE) must complete seven subjects by examination or exemption, where eligible.

All four Group 1 subjects are compulsory and must be completed along with three other subjects of your choice from Group 2 within a period of five years, as stipulated by the ICS. Subjects can be taken in any order, from a minimum of one up to a maximum of seven in any one year.

The number of subjects you choose depends on the amount of time you are able to commit to your studies but for your guidance most METL students choose two or three subjects in their first year.
