Alberto Comitardi

Senior Account Executive at ITIC, he joined Thomas Miller in December 2010 and he has since been working for ITIC.   He handles claims worldwide and he is responsible for underwriting risks in Italy, Slovenia and Croatia.
He qualified as a lawyer in Italy in 2008. Before joining Thomas Miller he had been working for the Genoan maritime law firm Studio Legale Turci since 2005, where he specialised in international litigation, cargo claims, charter parties, S&P, agency, logistics contracts and related insurances.  He had previously trained as a shipping agent at a UK based shipping line and as supercargo in the UK, Bremen, Rotterdam and Antwerp. 
His day-to-day activities involve advising on liability claims against shipbrokers, ship agents, classification societies and ship managers. He has specialised in claims in the Middle East and Far East. 
He is a member of The Baltic Exchange and speaks fluent English and Italian and has a command of German and French.
He has been lecturing for METL since 2013.
